Jan Prušinovský was born in 1979 in Hořovice and grew up in a small village Zadní Třebáň in Central Bohemia. After graduating at high school in Beroun he wanted to become a journalist. Then his love for film prevailed. During his studies at FAMU (Department of Scriptwriting and Dramaturgy, 2002-2006) he wrote and directed two short films. In 2008 there came his feature-length debut. Basically at the same time Prušinovský started to make TV series which helped improve a score of the Czech auteur TV works. Meantime he focused and still focuses on making feature films. Prušinovský has received several respected awards for his work, in the Czech Republic as well as abroad.

Born in Prague (Czech Republic) in 1974. He completed his first degree at the University of Economics, Prague, after which he studied Film and TV Production at FAMU in Prague. In 2006, while still a student, he and two other producers established a production company, Evolution Films. Together with screenwriter and director Jan Prušinovský and the Evolution Films company, he created a new production company, Offside Men (2011), which is exclusively focused on the development, production, and distribution of its own creations. Ondřej is a member of ACE, also a member of the board of the Czech Audiovisual Producers' Association (APA) and the Czech and Television Film Academy's board. In 2012 he was selected as a Producer on the Move at Cannes Film Festival.
